    Pre-Cambrian Era - 4000-541 Million Years Ago

    Plants first evolved to live on land. They had evolved from algae in the water to living and surviving on land. They increased oxygen in the air and decreased carbon dioxide. The first plants helped create new life and evolution.
  • Period: 3 to 4

    Cambrian Period - 541-485 Million Years Ago

    As land plants evolved, they cooled the atmosphere and created more oxygen. This then led to another period where animals evolved.

  • Present Day

    Plants are able to survive in any condition where they grow. They are found in water, in the air, on land, caves, etc. They also have many different means of reperduction so they will be around for a while. Plants are used to make medicine to cure many diseases.
