Evolution of Mobile Phones

    The push button phone was created in the 40's but the rotary dial phone was still very much used. It wasn't until the 70's that everyone hopped on the idea. Everyone thought the push button feature was super interesting. It made making calls a lot easier and faster, and there were other features, like push button re-dial and auto dial, that slowly made its way out during the 70's.

    The cell phones from the 80's were called 'bricks", because they were as big as a brick you would use to build a house with. Cell phones were a strange thing to actually come across and the size of them made them stand out in public.

    By the 90's, cell phones had become about making them as small as possible. Flip phones became a major part of peoples everyday use as well things like PDA's. they were a big- or small- step up from the brick phone of the 80's.
  • 2000's

    2000's
    The 2000's came with a pretty cool upgrade on your everyday cell phone. Way more people had them so they were being equipped with internet, few games, cameras, and better quality from your flip phone. The were just as small but could do more.

    2010's
    The 2010's have brought us a great deal of new technology and new phones. Smartphones have taken the world by storm, changing from "The smaller the better" to "The bigger the better." The well-known iphones have totally overwhelmed our lives with now having come out with there 7th version and it is definitely the biggest. Of course android has been used as much, it is not in as high of demand or need from people.
