Lighter color suits became popular and tuxedos were a common evening wear. -

Men were wearing bold patterned/colored suits. -

Jackets became longer and looser. Suits could not have pocket flaps and were now sold without vests. The suits were looser fitting and the colors were brighter! -
1950s
Clothing became casual! Sports coats were common and shorts grow in popularity.
