The Communist Manifesto is the publication of Karl Marx and Fredrich Engals ideals on communism. This document represents change, in that it is of the first communist advocating documents, and paved the way for communism. -

The Bolshevik Revolution was the uprising to establish a socialist government. This represents change, in that the revolution led the way to communism in Russia. -

The Great Famine caused the death of 6 million people, and was a result of the struggling newly communist Russian government. This represents change, in that it was an indicator of the type of new lifestyle that communism brought. -
Joseph Stalin becomes leader of USSR
Stalin succeeded Lenin, the previous leader of Russia. This marks continuity, in that Stalin continued the line of succession of communist leaders within Russia. -

The Great PUrge was a movement orchestrated by Stalin in order to repress supposed saboteurs, and the Red Army. THis was a representation of change, for prior to the 1930's, a widespread execution had never been seen in Russia, and throughout the 20th century had become nothing new. -

HItler and Stalin signed this pact, in order to esnure that the Soviets and Nazi's would not attack each other. This was an example of continuity, as it represented the joining of two nations with ideals similar to communism, creating a powerful union. -

The Soviets began taking over other countries as a communist nation. This represents change, in that with the Soviet occupation of other countries, communism was spreading. -
Germany invades soviet union
Germany goes against the pact between the soviets, and causes the Soviets to enter WW2. THis represents change, in that the union between the soviets and nazis was broken, and the allies gained the Soviets. -
World War II ends
WW2 ends, with the defeat of Germany. This is a significant change, in that the Fascist movement was significantly demolished, representing a great vidcoty for anti communist. -

WInston Churchill made this speech in order to address the issue of communism within Europe. This represents change, in that it opened the eyes of people in America to the issue of communism, starting the cold war.
