The Invention of the First Cellphone
The very first portable cellphone was invented by Dr Martin Cooper that did not need to be run by a car (car phone.) He was the first person to make a phone call. This invention was caused because Cooper thought that people should be able to talk on the phone while they were far from their cars. The company Motorola had spent approx. 3 months with the creation of a prototype; after, Cooper publicly demonstrated its use. -

It had take almost ten years for the cellphone invented by Dr Cooper to be publicly launched and accesible to everyone ; the company brand to first release these cellphones were Motorola. -
Flip Phone Released (New design)
In 1989, Motorola created a new design for their phone instead of using the landline type phone model. In this new version, the mouth piece was flipped on top of the keypad. This phone basically had the same functions as the previous one, but was better in terms of size and shape (to put in pockets.) -
Cellphones gain more popularity
Cellphones started gaining more popularity in the 2000's. This was the time period when they started being accesible to everyone; before that, people weren't able to afford them. Even if money wasn't an issue, there were still difficulties in the purchasing process. But in 2000s, they become available due to cheaper costs and production in large amounts. -
Creation of camera phone
The company Sanyo, created a phone that is able to click pictures and save into the camera roll. From there, the user can download and print the pictures clicked on a computer. The impetus of this invention was for the Kaynes daughter who had taken birth. She wanted to click pictures and share them instantly on public networks. This sparked the idea of having a built in camera as it would be easier to transfer images. -
The first iPhone is launched
The releasing of Apples first phone had definitely changed the cellular industry. It consisted of many features that seemed pretty cool back then, (ex. touch screen, serving the same functions as a computer; this changed the way peoples lives were with just a normal flip phone. According to Steve Jobs, the iPhone was made to be a "super slick phone." The only way people accessed their internet was using their computer, but as the iPhone came out, all of those things were simply done on it. -
More and more cellphone models!
From 2007 to 2022, cellphones have become a very important part of our lives. Just like food, water, shelter and clothing, cellphones have been added to that list for people. Now people use them for many reasons whether that be latest technologies, applications, communication, researching and many more. There are many variations and upgrades in their newly released models, whether that include change of aesthetic looks, storage space, size, themes, settings, lock screen, passwords etc.
