    During World War II aerial cameras were used to reveal camouflaged enemies. Aerial cameras like the Fairchild k-17 were massive specifically 2-feet long with a 610mm f/6 lens.
    These camera models were heavy they weighed anywhere from 30-75 pounds based on added equipment the camera required. These cameras were the main reason the Allies won the war.

    Edwin Land helped create aerial cameras among other equipment for World War II. It was during the war that he came up with the Polaroid camera and his cameras were produced and sold. The first Polaroid cameras weighed 4 pounds and the lens was a 135mm f/11 lens. Definitely not like modern Polaroid cameras.

    In the 1950's cameras were mass produced especially the Dacora 1. The Dacora 1 was way smaller,way less heavy,and easier to use than the previous cameras although it was cheaply made. This camera was able to change how cameras were made the foldable lens eventually would be no more.
