    The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Boston Pilgrims. This is considered the first world series ever. Even though the pirates beat the Pilgrims in the first game, Boston went on to win the Series

    Babe Ruth made his debut in 1914. He is considered the best baseball player ever. He was on the Red Sox as a pitcher but could hit better than anyone.

    The Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees for $100,000. This is considered the worst trade ever. Babe Ruth went on to be one of the best players.

    Babe Ruth hit his 600th home run. This is an accomplishment very few people ever did. This puts into perspective how good he really was.

    The Brooklyn Dodgers star Jackie Robinson was the first African American baseball player ever. He got his first hit off of a bunt and he was so good that he got rookie of the year because of how athletic he was.

    Hank Aaron, was also a great baseball player and hitter. He broke Babe Ruth's record of 714 home run in the 1974 season.

    Pete Rose was a great baseball player who had the most hits in the MLB. He is not in the Hall of Fame because he is said to gamble on his games. This is a big argument on if he should or should not be in the hall of fame.

    The 2007 season was a big one for Barry Bonds. He broke many home runs records eventually having 762 home runs. Like Pete Rose, he is not in the hall of fame but he is because he took steroids.
