Germany Invades Poland
When Hitler invaded Poland, France and Britain declared war on Germany. After taking over Poland, Germany attacked France. France fell June of 1940. The only place left in Europe that hadn't fallen under Hitler was Great Britain. The photo is of German soliders parading through Warsaw, Poland after the invasion. -

D-Day
On June 6, 1944 General Dwight Eisenhower led U.S. and Allied troops in an invasion of Normandy, France. On May 7, 1949 Germany surrendered. -
Stalingrad
Four million troops poured over the Russsian border on June 22, 1944. Within one month, over two and half million Russians had been killed, wounded or captured. Winter came and the German troops were still in summer uniforms. Stalin sent in 2 million more men. In the spring the German Army was almost completly destroyed -
