    Japan wanted to over take China to expand in territory and eventually rise to a major world power. They took control of many countries and signed a treaty with Germany and Italy to reassure their goal over overtaking Europe.

    The concentratoin camp was orginally created to house political prisoners, and eventually evolved into a tragic death camp for the Jews as well as many others.

    Hitler enforced a new law declaring that all Germans had to join with him and actively participate in the Nazi Party, if not, they were sent to concentration camps.

    This law banned German Jews to have relationships with Reich citizens. The German Jews were not allowed to marrry them and it deprived them of most of their political rights.

    The Rhineland, under the terms of the Treaty of Versailles, was to be a place of demilitarisation. Hitler took the risk of marching in and overtaking it. France and Britain did not acknowledge it, causing Hitler to realize that he had more power than he thought.

    Germans pact a pact with the Soviet Union stating that Poland would be partioned bewteeen the two. France and Great Britain declared an appeasement which said that Germany had to restrain their countries territory. When Germany invaded Poland, France and Great Britiain were furious and declared war.

    The leader of Italy was Beniot Mussolini, known as Il Duce. He joined with Hitler and the Fascist party to eventually take over Europe. He was defeated after the Allied invasion of Italy.

    The French were surrounded at Dunkirk and were forced to surrender. Paris was abandoned and left for the Germans to invade. Germany makes an armistice with France in the same spot as in World War I. Hitler does this to show his revenge.

    These three countries joined forces and shared common ideas of how to take order and control. The pact declared that these three countries would provide assistance to one another.

    Japan planned at surprise attack at Pearl Harbor located in Hawaii. More than 2,400 Americans died, 21 ships were sunk, and more than 188 aircrafts were destroyed.

    Most of the leaders of Germany met together to disguss the :final solution" for the Jews. Their idea was just to eliminate them entirely.

    Those who were kept at Dachau were sent on a death march to Tergernsee. If anyone fell behind, they were eliminated instantly. American soldiers liberated all the remaining people from Dachau.

    An american B-29 dropped the first deployed atomic bomb on Hiroshima. It wiped out 90% of the city and the bombing killed 80,000 people. Many people died later because of the exposure to radiation.

    Three days after the bombing of Hiroshima, the United States bombed Nagasaki and killed about 40,000 people.
