What: East Germany built a wall to seperate the communist west from the east.
How: Russia wanted the West to be communist and when the East didn't want to go with them Russia built a wall to keep the West in and the East out. -
Cuban Missle Crisis

What: Soviet Union built a secret missle base in Cuba. Presdient Kennedy responses with televising saying any attack from Cuba would be from the Soviet Union. Kennedy imposed naval blockade of Cuba to stop the sites. On October 28, 1962 Khrushchev sent a letter to Kennedy saying the sites would be dismantled. -
