Thisis the supreme court case in which the supreme court declared that grandfather clauses were unconstitutional and were eradicatedbut black voting was still supressed by the fear of being lynched. -
Race Riots of 1919
This event was knownas the Omaha Race Riot of 1919. It was also followed by the red summer. during this event there were a totlal of 3 deaths and many burnings. One of the men who was brutally lynched was Will Brown, a worker. These people also attempted to hang the mayor at the time Edward Parsons Smith. -

Jackie Robinson breaks new racial boundries when Mr.Branch Rickey signs Jackie for a contract with the Brooklyn Dodgers previosly known as anall white team. -

A revolutionary case where the supreme court justified and reviwed their decision with the Plessy case and decide that the segrigation of schools is unconstitutional and want to desegregate the schools as soon as possible. -
Montgomery Bus Boycott
This event happend after the brave Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to awhite man thus leading to her arrest and a 388 day boycott of all busses in Montgomery, Alabama. -
Freedom Riders
The first Freedom rider interstate bus leaves Washington D.C and is scheduled to arrive in New Orleans on the 17th where they are greeted with riots and beatings. -
Letter from Birmingham jail
Theevent took place when white ministers asked Martin Luther King Jr to stop trying to get freedom from them and that he will only get himself and his loved ones hurt. Martin Luther responds with a peaceful letter that indicates that he will not stop persuing freedom and will use peaceful methods to get what he wants -
Medgar Evers murdered
He was the head of the NCAAP. He was assinated in 1964, the first trial of chief suspect Byron De La Beckwith ended with a deadlock by an all-white jury, creating numerous protests. When a second all-white jury failed to reach a decision he was set free. Many years later, the state of Mississippi reopened the case under pressure from civil rights leaders and Evers' family. In February 1994, a racially mixed jury in Jackson he was found guilty of murder. -
Bombing of Birmingham church
A bomb went off at 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama where mant civil rights leaders met.Four young girls were killed in the blast. Outrage spread drawoing national attention to the case -
Civil Rights Act passed
President Lyndon B. Johnson signed that outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. -
Martin Luther King Jr.assassinated
While supporting sanitation workers' strike he was shot and killed in Memphis, Tennesee. The suspect Ray was found guilty. -
