    The Townshend Act was a series of 'measures' passed by British Parliament that basically introduced a bunch of tax regulations to fund administration in British colonies in America.

    The Boston Massacre was a deadly riot between a "patriot" mob, throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks against a squad of British soldiers. It began as a simple street brawl between a British soldier and a mob of American colonists that would escalate into a bloody slaughter. This even helped to unite the colonies against Britain.

    The Boston Tea party was a political protest that occurred on December 16, 1773, in Boston, Massachusetts. American colonists, frustrated and angry at Britain for imposing "taxation without representation", dumped 342 chests of tea imported by the British into the harbor.

    Thomas Paine was an author and published this, a book in 1776. Basically the book is a 47 page pamphlet that talks about independence to people in Great Britain, also used persuasion to convince people to fight for egalitarian government.

    The Battle of York town was a battle between the British against the American colonies and British. This battle proved to be the decisive engagement of the American Revolution as the British would go on to end the British rule in the colonies and the birth of a new nation.

    The Treaty of Paris would bring an end to the Revolutionary war between the British and the American colonies. The United States would now be recognized as an Independent Nation.

    The great compromise was an agreement that was made among the delegates to the Constitutional Convention that the American government will be two houses in Congress. The senate would be where each state will be allowed to senators, and the house of representatives where each state will have a certain number of representatives based on the state's population

    The constitution would become the official framework for the government of the United States of America on June 21,1788. New Hampshire became the ninth of 13 states to ratify the constitution.
