    The Proclomation of 1763
    The royal Proclomation was created to restrain colonists from expanding and taking over the Native Americans territory that they have had for a very long time. The Indians were afraid that the colonists would expand so much it would drive them out of their territories, so the King decided to interfere and create the Proclomation, which restrained the colonists from expanding and taking over. It also established 4 new colonies.
  • The Stamp Act

    The British Empire emposed a tax on any printed material. These materials were legal documents, like money. It also included magazines, newspapers, playing cards, amd many other types of paper used throughout the colonies. The purpose of this tax was to pay for the troops stationed in North America.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Masssecre was oan a event on March 5th, 1770, where a fight between the Patriots and the Britains in the streets. The Patriot group were throwing objects at the Brtitain soldiers. Several colonists were killed which led to a campaign by street writers. The British were not welcomed in the city of Boston. A British sentinal and British officer were attaked by about 50 citizens.

    The Boston Tea party was a political protest staged by the Sons of Liberty in Boston. Protesters disgused themsleves as american indians and many different things and destroyed an entire shipment of tea from Britain. This protest was in defience of the tea that had been set in place on May 10th, 1773.
  • Battle at Lexington and Concord

    Battle at Lexington and Concord
    The Battles of Lexington amd Concord started off the American Revolutionary War. There was tension between the British soldiers and the colonies. On April 18th, 1775, hundreds of British troops marched from Boston to Concord in order to seize an arms cache. Paul Revere and other riders sonded th alarm and began mobilizing to intercept the Redcoat coulmn. A confrontation on the Lexington started the fighting.

    The signing of the Decleration of Independence was part of the British Empire. 56 men signed signed the Decleration of Independence. These men were representitives of the 13 colonies who all wanted to no longer be under control of the British government . One reason the 13 colonies wanted to seperate was because they were being taxed for everything.
  • Surrender of Yorktown

    General Cornwallis brought 8,000 British troops to Yorktown, Virginia. They expected the British to help them by sending ships from New York, but those ships never showed up. The continental army and General George Washington took this opportunity as a advantage and found the way to beat the world's largest empire.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was negociated between the United States and Great Britian. This treaty ended the revolutionary war as well as reconizing American Independence. A five-member commission to negotiate a treaty was formed by the Continental Congress. The five men were John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, and Henry Laurens.
