The Sons of Liberty was a political organization that was really organized and sometimes violent. This organization was made to basically ruin British rule in colonial America. -

This act was a way to help pay the British troops during the 7 years war. Colonists were required to pay taxes. -

The Townshend Act was a way to help pay the expenses of the colonies. It was passed by Parliament and initiated taxes on glass, lead, paint, and tea. -
Boston Massacre
It was a street fight between the British soldiers and colonists. This fight was a protest from the colonists to the British soldiers because the British Soldiers were occupying their city. -
Boston Tea Party
It was a protest against the British Parliament Tea Act of 1773 that the colonist created. They dressed as Native Americans and dumped all the tea into the British harbor. -

Battle of Bunker Hill
The Battle of Bunker Hill was between the American Patriots and the British army. The American Patriots lost but they showed that they were capable to go against the British army. -
Olive Branch Petition sent to England
This was accepted on July 5, 1775 and then sent out to the king of England on July 8, 1775. This was the last way to prevent war from happening. -
Declaration of Independence adopted
The Declaration of Independence was adopted July 4, 1776. It was later on signed on August 2, 1776. -
Battle of Trenton
This was between General George Washington's army and Hessian mercenaries at Trenton. This was an important battle to the colonials because they hadn't had a victory in a long time. -
Battle of Camden
This was between the Americans and the British. The Americans got defeated in this battle and the British had control over the southern colonies for some time. There were 2,000 British troops going against 4,000 American troops. -
Battle of Yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown was an engagement of The American Revolution. In this battle the French joined the Continental troops to fight against the British army. The British army got outnumbered and the British troops surrendered. -
Treaty of Paris
This ended the American revolution that happened between the American colonies and Great Britain. This also caused the U.S. to get their independence. -
3/5 Compromise
The 3/5 Compromise was introduced during the 1787 Constitutional Convention. The 3/5 Compromise was that 3 out of every 5 slaves would be counted into the population because of legislative representation and taxation.
