First-Bunker Hill

The Americans worked through the night making their fort for their protection at the bottom of the hill.The British command in Boston was shocked to see the fort. Washington led somewhere between 10,000 to 12,000 troops to the site of their winter encampment at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. While the British enjoyed the warmth of the loyalists. Last-Yorktown
link George Washington made freinds with the french and they helped us win over the British. British troops were weakened from the battles in the south, so they we not ready for this battle. They marched up North. When they came to Yorktown, The french ships were wating in the bay while the true Americans were on the battlefeild. British soliders were outnumbered 2 to 1 and no new people could come. #highfivefrench -
Turning Point-Saratoga
linkFought eighteen days apart in the fall of 1777, the two Battles of Saratoga were a turning point in the American Revolution. On September 19th, British General John Burgoyne won a small, but costly victory over the colonist led by Horatio Gates and Benedict Arnold. Though his troop strength had been weakened, Burgoyne again attacked the Americans at Bemis Heights on October 7th, but this time was defeated and forced to retreat.
