Lexington and Concord
The battles at Lexington and Concord sparked fury in the colonists. This resulted in the very first battle between the colonists and Great Britain. It started in Concord where the British wanted to steal the colonists firepower. Then the soldiers marched to Lexington where the colonists fired.

Battle of Saratoga
There were two battles in the battle of saratoga. The first battle was won by the British by General John Burgoyne. However, in the second battle General Burgoyne lost. Valley Forge
Valley Forge was a military camp in Pennsylvania during the American Revolution. This was a low point in the revolution because nearly 2,500 were killed because of low food and disease. This influenced a lot of American soldiers to give up.

The Articles of Confederation was the original constitution for the United States that was ratified in 1781. The Ariticles stated the all 13 colonies are to be in one union with a government. Battle of Yorktown
This battle was one of the most important and last of the battles. George Washington sent his 17,000 French and Colonial troops to Yorktown as a seige against General Charles Cornwallis. Treaty of Paris of 1783
The Treaty of Paris of 1783 was a treaty negotiated by Great Britain and the United States. In April, 1782 Great Britain started talking about independence for the colonies.
