    Both of these battles were fought on the same ground just 18 days apart. On September 19th, John Burgoyne, a British General led his men on a British win. Little did they know that days later, Americans would be there alert and ready to win the next attack. His troop retreated and several days later, Burgoyne surrendered. The French government noticed this American win, and decided to join as an American ally. #dontmesswithuswellmesswithyou

Soon enough, George Washington invited Thomas Paine over to the camp to give the soldiers some inspiration to stay there. Most of the militia were pushed to the verge of leaving. #canileave

    The Battle of Yorktown was a victory for the Americans. The Continental Army led by George Washington and French troops led by Comte de Rochambeau won against "Lord" Cornwallis. This was the last major land battle of the American Revolution. When Cornwallis surrendered, and him and his army were captured, Britain's government wanted to put an end to the conflict. #isurrenderbecauseimascaredycat
