    The battle at Yorktown lasted 20 days. Washington saw that French ships were coming in. he thought it would be a good time to attack the British. 7000 men lead by Washington marched to Virginia. Meanwhile Grasse's fleet had blocked the British naval unit, making escape impossible. 3000 more French soldiers came from the ships. On Sep. 28, they attacked.
