When Hitler invades Czechoslovakia, the Czechs refused and Hitler threatened war. Without asking Czechoslovakia, Britain and France gave the land to Germany, out of fear of another war. -
Voyage of the St. Louis
The German ship, St. Louis sailed from Hamburg, Germany, to Havana, Cuba, carrying almost 1,000 passengers, almost all Jewish refugees. The Cuban government refused to allow the ship to land, and the United States and Canada were also unwilling to admit the passengers. -
