Treaty of Paris
France and the British signed the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The French could not defend their Northern Territory's so they ceded or surrendered. they signed the Treaty of Paris in Canada. the British gained all other French territory. -
The Quarting Act
This proclamtion was passed in 1763 and the purpose of it is to save money. This Act required British troop to stay with a family and have that family to provide warmth, food, and a place to sleep. But once again the colonist protested. -
Sugar Act
The British imposed new taxes on the colonies in 1764. It included several products with tax on them such as molasses. It called harsh punishment when molasses or any item with tax to be smuggled. There where protests. -

Pontiac's War
The last days of the French and Indian War. Pontiac and his allies attacked British forts and settlements throughout the areas. Nearly half the British forts were destroyed and at least 2,000 back settler were killed. -
Proclamation of 1763
The British government issued the proclamation of 1763. The Proclamation banned colonial settlement west of the Appalachia Mountains. Settlers were told they had to move east of the line. -

Boston Tea Party
The sons of liberty organized for the port cities to not allow East India tea to upload.they threatened shop captains and colonial tea merchants after that no tea was ported in New York Philadelphia or any other ports. For more than two weeks feelings in Boston were tense , Finally on the night of December, 16, 1773 a large crowed gathered in the harbor, throwing 342 cases of tea overboard they destroyed 90,000 pounds of tea that's worth thousands of dollars. -
Intolerable Act
On March 24 1774 the British king was out raged so was the British Government. The answer to this incident was four laws that had been passed. the first law passed was to close all ports of Boston. the second 2 abolished the upper house of the Massachusetts legislatuer and cut the powers of town meetings. the last law strengthened the law of the quartering act. -

The second continental congress came together on May 10 1775. The congress included Thomas Jefferson, a lawyer from Virginia, and John Hancock. -
