  • Second Congress

    An act of great britain that put a tax on the British colonies in America.

    Where the British soldiers shot and killed a lot of people while being harassed by a mob.
  • Boston Tea Party

    A political protest by the Sons of Liberty.
  • First congress

    the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives, met during the first two years of George Washington's presidency, first at Federal Hall in New York City and later at Congress Hall in Philadelphia.
  • Intolerable Acts

    punitive laws passed by the British Parliament, after the Boston Tea Party. The laws were meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists for the Tea Party protest in reaction to changes in taxation by the British.
