As the title of the law suggests. This law imposes taxes on molasses and sugar. This affected all of the sugarcane farmers in America as the taxes made it cost more to sell or import the sugar. Rum was also part of the taxing which could have crippled New Englands economy. -

This act forbade colonies from making paper money. This heavily affected the colonist because it made paying for all the other taxes more difficult. -
End Of the 7 Years War
The First Treaty of Paris ends the 7 years war between every big power in Europe. This caused taxes to rise in America making conflicts worse. -
