The French and Indian War was the fight for land. The colonist helped the British and the Indians helped the French. The British came out the winners and the losers, they won the battle but came out in a debt. In a result the British taxed the colonist. -

Events Leading up to the American Revolution
The Events Leading up to the American Revolution is about how the wars came to be. These events angered the colonist, things like taxes, laws and even strangers living in there homes! These evnts are what pushed the colonist into the American Revolution. -
Proclaimation of 1763
In this event the British had banned the Colonist from moving west of the mountains. Most colonist ignored that law and kept on moving west anyway. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was when the British passed a law that said that the colonist would have to put a stamp on all papers and would have to pay a tax for those stamps. -
Quartering Act
The Quartering Act was when the British made a law that forced the colonist to house and tend to the British soilders. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was when a crowd gathered in front of the Custom's House. Eight guards stood in front of the building one of the soilders misheard the commands from the general and shot a bullet. As a result all the other soilders fired. Four colonist died that day. -
Tea Act
The Tea Act was when Parliment passed a law that taxed the colonist on there tea. This law also made colonist buy there tea from only tea company. This outraged the colonist making them rebell from drinking tea. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party is when the Colonist dumped over ninety thousand pounds of tea into the harbor. The reason they did this was to represent how unfair the Tea Act was. -
First Continental Congress
The First Continental Congress was when all the representatives from the thirteen colonies exept Georgia came together to discuss the problems we were having with Britian.
