  • Navigation Acts

    Navigation Acts
    The Navigtion acts restricted exports and imports so that the Colonies could only trade with Britian. Britian viewed other countries as economical threats. The British are showing distrust of the Colonists.
  • Proclimation of 1763

    Proclimation of 1763
    The Proclimation of 1763 was passed at the end of the French Indian War to keep Indians of British land, like a border. This shows the them differences.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act meant harsher court for smugglers in the Colonies. They had been having a problem with Colonists smuggling molassas. Thsi was viewed as distrust.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The stamp act was passed so that Colonists would have to pay tax on all paper they used. This was an abuse of powers as well.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The Quartering Act opened all Colonistes houses to Britsh soldiers. If a British soldier needed a place to say by law you must house him. This showed distrust, they felt they needed to keep eyes on the Colonists.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    The Townshed Acts created more taxes. Taxes on tea, lead, glass, paper,and paint. This was anabuse of powers and showed distrust.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massace was a violent mishap, a crowd of Colonists gained up on 8 soldiers and the soldiers fired at the crowd to prtect themselves. Five were killed in the event. This was very violent.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party was the Colonists protest to taxation on tea. They boared a ship transporting tea dressed as Mohawk Indians a dumped 342 chests of tea into the water. The Colonists reacted out of revenge. This was unity between the colonies.
  • Intolarable Acts

    Intolarable Acts
    Someone had to pay the price for disgraceful action of the Colonists so Britian passed laws punishing the Colony of Massachusetts. TRades were closed, a British commander became governer, and Britsh troops were everywhere and had more freedom in Colonist's homes. This was a huge restraint on many Colonists and a big tension builder. THis showed differences and made it clear that they were there.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    This was the begining of the American Revoultionary War. British Commander Gage planned to attack and kidnapp Colonist commanders in Lexington and Concord, but Colonist spies got the information out and the Colonists prepared for battle. The Colonists won the battle. This was clearly a violent act since it ended in battle and was th sart to a war.
