    The treaty of Versailles was signed to end WW1. It was an agreement that blamed Germany for the war and gave them hefty punishments. Germany received a restriction on their military to 100,000. They had a lot of their land taken away and given to other countries. The biggest one I think was they received a fine of 33 billion dollars which was a ton of money then.

    The Great depression had a huge effect on a lot of people. 120 Million people died because of the Great depression. People were starving to death because there a huge economical breakdown.

Upon return to Britain, Chamberlain would declare that the meeting had achieved peace.
