    2. Took place in Ballarat at the Eureka goldfields on 3rd December 1854.
    3. It occurred because of different reasons such as oppressive fees for minor’s permits and poor conditions in the minefield.
    4. 34 minors and 6 soldiers died after a pitched battle took place very early in the morning.
    5. When the Eureka Stockade began people police were recruited from places near Ballarat.
