The US finally fought back and began using radar to patrol the seas. They also cracked the Enigma which was the German code system for the U boats location.

    Adolf Hitler killed himself by gunshot on 30 April 1945 in his Führerbunker in Berlin.His wife Eva committed suicide with him by taking cyanide.
