The Battle of Britain happened in the United Kingdom on July 10, 1940. This battle is also known as the Air Battle for England. This was an air campaign for World War 11. The Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy defended the United Kingdom against large-scale attacks by Nazi Germanys Air Force, the Luftwaffe. In the end, the battle was won by the Royal Air Force. -
Operation Barbarossa
Operation Barbarossa, this is an event that happened on Sunday, 22 June 1941 during World War 11. This was the German invasion of the Soviet Union including other Axis powers. The reason why Hitler did this is because he wanted to neutralize an existing mutual defense treaty between France and the Soviet Union. This was to ensure that the Soviets would standby while invading Poland. -

Operation Torch took place on November 8, 1942, and in French Morocco and French Algeria. Operation Torch was the Anglo-American invasion on the French Morocco and Algeria during the North African Campaign of World War 11. It was intended to draw Axis forces away from the Eastern front. This war resulted in the victory of the Allied forces. -
Battle of Stalingrad
The battle of Stalingrad took place on August 23, 1942 in Volgograd, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. This was a battle where Germany and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control over the city of Stalingrad in Southern Russia. In the end, Russia won the battle of Stalingrad. -
Operation Overlord
Operation Overlord dates back to June 6, 1944, Normandy France. This was simply a cod name for the Battle of Normandy. This was an allied operation that was launched for the invasion of the German-occupied Western Europe during World War 11. This operation happened because it was the most direct way to engage German forces. At the end of this battle, the allied forces rose to be victorious. -

Yalta Conference
The Yalta Conference took place on February 4, 1945 and in Yalta, Livadiya, Livadia Palace. This was a meeting between three World War 11 allies: the U.S President Franklin D. Roosevelt. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin. In this conference they agreed that after Germans unconditional surrender that it should be divided into four post-war occupation zones. These zones being controlled by the U.S, British, French, and Soviet Militaries.
