Battle Of Britain

1940

The Battle of Britain was fought between the Germans and the British from July 10th, 1940 to October 31st 1940. The fight took place over southern England and was mostly airborne. Germany planned to gain air superiority in preparation for an invasion of Great Britain. Germany wanted to invade Great Britain, but first they needed to destroy Great Britain's Royal Air Force.

Operation Barbossa

Operation Barbossa was executed by the Germans on the Soviet Union. Barbossa was a code name for the German invasion of the Soviet Union, which was launched on June 22, 1941 and ended on December 5th 1941. The operation's objectives were to defeat and destroy the Soviet Union's Red Army.

The German Army suffered a catastrophe greater than that of Stalingrad.
