Last major German offensive campaign of World War II. It was launched through the densely forested Ardennes region of Wallonia in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg, on the Western Front. Americans took the most casualties in this battle. -
Germany Surrenders
Germany surrenders all of its armed forces while Hitler commits suicide due to the allies being in close vicinity. The allies forced Germany to surrender unconditionally. Fighting would still go on in the East for almost another day. But the war in the West was over.
