    When Louis XVII died in 1824, his younger brother Charles X took over the throne. Charles was a very strong believer in abolitionism, rejected the very idea of the charter. in July of 1830 he had suspended the legislature, limited the right to vote, and restricted th press.

    In 1830 a huge success happen in Belgium. In 1815, the congress of Vienna had gathered in the Austrian Netherlands. Congress wanted to make a strong barrier so that the French could not expand and become too powerful. The news of the French uprising started a revolutionary spark in Belgium. Students, workers, and other citizens threw up barricades in Brussels and demanded for independence. And in 1831 Belgium became an independent state with a liberal constitution.

The radicles still wanted an republic.Utopian socialists also called for the end to private ownership of property. These were only a few reasons that the French people decided to rebel.

The people were not happy withe the rules that the king and congress made for them such as: Takes, rising prices, etc. so they started to revolt.
