The Radicles
The radicles were people who wanted major change. They called for a republic like France did in 1790. The working class still wanted decent pay and bread that the people could afford. -
The Agreement
An 1830 agreement gave the Serbs control over their own internal affairs, even though European countries didn't identify Serbia's independence until 1878. -
Charles X
When Louis XVII died in 1824, his younger brother Charles X took over the throne. Charles was a very strong believer in abolitionism, rejected the very idea of the charter. in July of 1830 he had suspended the legislature, limited the right to vote, and restricted th press. -
Belgium Gains Independence
In 1830 a huge success happen in Belgium. In 1815, the congress of Vienna had gathered in the Austrian Netherlands. Congress wanted to make a strong barrier so that the French could not expand and become too powerful. The news of the French uprising started a revolutionary spark in Belgium. Students, workers, and other citizens threw up barricades in Brussels and demanded for independence. And in 1831 Belgium became an independent state with a liberal constitution. -

By the late 1840's discontent in France was reaching a boiling point. The industrial revolution was changing in France, especially on the cities.Politically France stayed divided. The radicles still wanted an republic.Utopian socialists also called for the end to private ownership of property. These were only a few reasons that the French people decided to rebel. -
Revolts Spread Throughout Europe
France was the country to trigger all of the revolts in Europe,just like it did in 1830. The revolting was like a domino effect because it was one country after another. The people were not happy withe the rules that the king and congress made for them such as: Takes, rising prices, etc. so they started to revolt. -
