The Fight
Just before dawn on 3 December,150 diggers in the Eureka Stockade clashed with the 270 well-armed soldiers and police. The hectic battle lasted 20 minutes and in the end the diggers were defeated. At least 27 diggers and six police were killed. Now they estimate around 60 deaths happened
