Charles Darwin (February 12th, 1809- April 19th, 1882)
Charles Darwin was born on February 12th,1809 and died April 19th, 1882. He was a British naturalist. He went on the HMS Beagle, where his zoological and geological discoveries resulted from a long scientific survey expedition to south America and south seas. This resulted in his famous publications and formed the biases of his theories of evolution. -
Ernst Mach (February 18, 1838- February 19,1916)
Ernst Mach was born February 18th, 1838 and passed away on February 19th, 1916. He was an Austrian physicist and philosopher who established important principles of optics, mechanics and wave dynamics. He is very well known for Mach number, which was named after him. In 1887, he established the principles of supersonics and mach number. Mach number is the ratio of the velocity of an object to the velocity of sound.
