    Amy had a daughter named Emily (Emily is five years old). Amy had told Emily to wear a shirt. Emily didn't like the shirt because it was ugly and told Amy she would get bullied for it. Amy told her it would be fine and Amy told her the shirt was pretty on her. When Emily went to school she got bullied by her friends. In Eriksons third stage, Initiative vs. Guilt childern begin to assert their power and control over the world through directing play and other social interactions.

    Emily Figuring out her Career: Idenity versus Role of Confusion
    Emily is in her freshman year of high school. Emily took a home economics class and became interested in cooking. Now she is interrested into being a chef after highschool. Her friends make her feel like a outcast becasue her friends want to be nurses. In Eriksons fifth stage, Idenity vs. Role of Confusion is a teenager who has not commited to any particular idetity and feels confused about their place in society.
  • Emily as an Adult: Integrity versus Despair

    Emily as an Adult: Integrity versus Despair
    Emily now being 23 looks back on her childhood of her being bullied and can move past it because it doesn't phase her anymore. She also feels disappointed in her self for letting bullies get to her at such a young age. She was so distarcted by bullies it made her sad most of her childhood. In Eriksons eigth stage, Integrity vs. Despair is a retrospective look back and life and either feeling satisfied that life was well lived or regretting choices and missed opportunites.
