Robert decides to become an actor: Identity vs.Role Confusion
Robert has been caught several times with the overuse of drugs and alcohol, in the end, Robert gets sent to jail. After Robert's 3 years in jail, he decided to become a better man and further his life as an actor. In Erikson's fifth stage, Identity vs. Role Confusion, adolescents discover who they are as a person and what their role is within their culture. Robert marries Susan Levin: Intimacy vs. Isolation
After finaly coming clean with drugs and alchohol, Robert decides to commit the rest of his life with Susan by asking for her hand in marriage. In Erikson's sixth stage, Intimacy vs. Isolation, the crisis is between committing to build close relationships or build a life of isolation. -
Robert has several children and helps them grown up: Generativity vs. Stagnation
By 2014, Robert and Susan have 2 boys and one baby girl. Robert's priority in his life is the well-being of his children, as he hopes to provide them with the lifeskills and opportunities to live full lives. In Erikson's seventh stage, Generativity vs. Stagnation, the crisis is between focusing on the well-being of the next generation or the personal needs of midlife. Those who focus on the personal midlife needs are in stagnation
