Anastasia is 18 months old, she can now run and play with her toys by herself. She has also discovered the word "No", along with being more specific about what she likes/doesn't like to eat. This is Erikson's second stage, where the child starts to explore more of their abilities and independence.
  • Initiative VS. Guilt

    Initiative VS. Guilt
While on the way to ballet, Anastasia(4) is asking questions about the surroundings. The questions seem endless, but her mom seems to be responding in a calm informative fashion. This stage is where children start asking questions and initiating conversation. It is important for the people around them to avoid making the child feel like a nuisance. Throughout Ana's ballet class she hits another child and makes them cry, this social interaction makes the child feel guilt.
  • Industry VS. Inferiority

    Industry VS. Inferiority
Anastasia(8) Is now in second grade and has joined the soccer team. During her first game she is cheered on by her peers, while being the star player.
