Intimacy vs. Isolation
Lola (age 28) built many friendships in her life, but met her partner who she wishes to marry. Even with the many close friendships in her life, she is wanting a lifelong romantic connection. Lola is now engaged. Eriksons sixth stage, it is all about forming deep and meaningful connections without losing their independence. Finding the balance of her own identity, while allowing herself to share her life with someone she loves. -
Integrity vs. Despair
Lola (age 75) is reflecting back on her life. She remembers all of the experiences with her family and friends and feels a great sense of accomplishment. In the sixth stage or Erikson’s stages of development, you are looking back on your life and reflecting. Depending on how you lived your life, it can be spent reflecting on how proud you are of what you have accomplished and experienced, or spend time thinking of your regrets and how you would have done things differently.
