  • Jane's Toddlerhood

    Jane is a toddler and is exploring around the toddler classroom. She finds herself choosing certain toys to play with without getting in trouble. She is able to make choices when choosing her toys and playing with them in certain areas. Jane is in the second stage, autonomy vs doubt. Jane is able to choose her toys without question. If she was told not too, she would feel shameful and later question her choices if she was reprimanded continuously.
  • Jane's Early Childhood

    Jane is now 3.5 years old and is able to say yes and no. She tends to screech when friends take her toy away from her hands. Although, she is learning how to to say no thank you. Jane is able to play with more friends and begin easy games with them such as hide and seek. She is in the third stage, Initiative vs Guilt. Jane is able to take lead in games and also feels a sense of guilt when she screeches no to her friends.
  • Jane's Adolescence

    Jane is 13 years old and has been raised in Asian culture. Her family is strict with curfews and she is only allowed to hang out with certain friends. She is in the identity vs Identity stage, Erikson's 5th stage. She wants to hang out later and be cool like her other friends by dressing the way they dress. She is confused and frustrated as to why her parents do not allow her to wear certain clothes. She is experiencing identity confusion.
