Tuva (8) feel competent in school as she discover that her abilities are better than her friends. I Erikson's fourth stage, industry vs. inferiority, social interactions begin to develop a sense of pride in accomplishments and abilities, discovering that abilities are better (industry) or not as good (inferiority) as their friends. -
Tuva falls in love
Tuva (20) falls in love with Tore (20) because they developed a deep, meaningful connection between each other. In Erikson's sixth stage, intimacy vs. isolation, the major conflict is forming intimate, loving relationships with other people. Success at this stage leads to fulfilling relationships (intimacy), whereas struggling at this stage can result in feelings of loneliness and isolation (intimacy).
