Bryan(32) is having to care for his pregnant wife and try to focus on her needs instead of his own, during this time of need from her. In Erickson's seventh stage, generativity versus stagnation, a person has to learn how to focus on someone else's needs instead of centering themselves around their own. -
Bryans reflection:
Bryan(72) is at his wife's funeral and is reflecting on all the time well spent together and the life that they spent together, he realizes that they built a beautiful life and had lots of love. In Erickson's eighth stage, ego integrity versus despair, one has to accept and be happy with how they have lived their life and not hold regrets.
