    During Erikson childhood, he claimed that he experienced Identity confusion. Even though Erikson practiced the Jewish religion, people in his community saw him differently from them. When he attended temple school, the other jewish children would tease his Nordic heritage. Then when Erik attended grammar school, the gentile children teased his for being jewish.

    Erikson married a canadian woman named Joan Serson. Serson was a artist and a dancer during the time. The young couple had two sons while living in Vienna. Their sons names were Kai and Jon.
  • Erikson's achievements in America

    Erikson became a member of the Institute of Human Relations at Yale University. After two years, Erikson started working with Sioux Indian children in South Dakota than studied the influence of culture on child development. Apart from that he also worked with the Yurok Indians in northern California and Native American children.
