  • trust vs mistrust

    being an infant trusting someone other than my mom was very hard for me. I had to be given medicine every hour for the first couple of months of my life and she is the primary one who would give me my meds. When my dad came home from the military I did not know who he was considering he left after 3 weeks of me being born. With Erik Eriksons stages of psychosocial development trust and mistrust are very important to an infant when it comes to who they allow to hold and take care of them.
  • Initiative vs Guilt

    when I was 4 I decided to cut my hair while I was in preschool. The thought behind cutting my hair was that I wanted to become a barber. I felt bad because my mom was very upset with the teacher because of the neglect of watching me with scissors. children from the ages of 3 to 6 go through trying to learn and the lability to become initiative when doing activities.
  • Identity vs Confusion

    Moving to Alaska out of high school was the hardest thing I've had to do. trying to find friends, attending college, and moving was difficult. I had to have a fresh start in my life journey but I had no clue who I was from the small town I was from. Coming to Alaska was the best decision I've made. I now have friends and love to go hiking and fishing. Identity vs Confusion consists of 12-20 take on a sense of identity by exploring different beliefs, values, and goals to find the ones that fit.
