On this day, Kyle displayed Erickson's stage of "Autonomy vs. Shame" by making the confident decision to wear his Spiderman costume while going grocery shopping with his mother. This displays autonomy, and proves that the child is beginning to make decisions on their own. -
Identity vs. Role Confusion
On this day, Kyle, finds himself wanting to sign up for a soccer club that his new friends are joining after a period of refusing to involve himself in any kind of sports. Kyle is an adolescent and is making attempts at discovering his sense of identity. -
Stagnation
On this day, Kyle feels a decrease in self-worth as he has yet to have a successful marriage, or a marriage that resulted in children. He feels as though he has not made any kind of mark or positive progress in his life. This stage is "Generativity vs. Stagnation"
