Arrested

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold broke into a vanand were arrested. Both were let off early because they had exceptional behaviour in theri juvenile diversion program.

In 1997 Dylan Klebold told a former friend of Erics, Brooks Brown, about his website. His parents looked at it and found numerous death threats towards Brooks and contacted the police. The sheriffs Office searched through the blog and found multiple death threats towards students and teachers at Columbine Highschool.

Apology letter

As a part of his diversion program Eric was required to write and apology letter to the owner of the van. Later in his journals he declared that he had the right to take things if he wanted to.

Firearms

Dylan and Eric aquired two 9mm firearms and two shotguns at Tanner Gun Show through a friend. Later Harris and Klebold bought another handgun.

Oklahoma Bombing

Speculations say that they had planned the original date of the shooting to coincide with the Oklahoma bombing. A week before the 19th they changed the date to the 20th, no one is sure why.

Columbine shooting

On this day Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 13people and injured approximately 20 in a school shooting at Columbine Highschool

First bomb

Eric and Dylan placed a small bomb in a farmers field 3 miles from the highschool to divert the firefighters and other first responders from the highschool. It sparked a small fire that was quickly put out.

Goodbye

About 30minutes before the attack Dylan and Eric made a goodbye video for their family and friends. It explained why they did it and appologizing for their actions.
