Eric Ericsons psychosocial stages

  • trust vs mistrust

    trust vs mistrust
roughly sround december 1995 a common trust vs mistrust relationship was forming. I was a few months old, and was evaluating weither or not I could rely on my primary cargivers to be there for me. Supplying my need for emotional support, as well as physical support. This trust vs mistrust stage is Erik Eriksons first stage of phychosocial development.
  • identity vs role confusion

    identity vs role confusion
As many may know, the road to adulthood is full of big life decisions that will shape the rest of your life. This is a common stage everyone encounters, and it is commonly encountered around ages 12 to 18. For me I encountered this stage a little later in life than some people. The concept of future occupation or any further planning did not stike me untill a later age. Which is not uncommon of most college students.
  • intamacy vs isolation

intamacy vs isolation is the largest stage of erick's psychosocial stages. I am currently in this stage, where the need for social interaction is high, and its counterpart is isolation. the battle between the two is shown at parties and other social events.
  • integrety vs dispair

Death in the family can have a great impact on the family as a whole. Towards the end of ones life they self analyze their life and see if they are proud or not of what they acomplished. This stage is the integrity vs dispair stage and commonly affects the individual in their retirement years. This was shown through the death of my grandpa and his self analyzing nature near death.
