    - Deforestation, soil degration, water pollution, loss of biodiviersity.

    Details:
    proposed by James Lovelock presents a unconventional view of the earth as a self regulating living system. The earth’s biosphere acts a self regulating system that maintains conditions favorable for life. (earth and ecosystem works together)

    Sparked ideas, allowed people to view earth as a complex interconnected systems. Helped developed deep ecology and ethical perspectives of the connections of life on earth.
