Justin's Timeline

  • My Birth

    My Birth
I was born on March 20, 2000 at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco via a C-Section at 8:08 in the morning, weighing in at 8 pounds, 3 ounces and 20 inches long. My birth was very difficult for my mother and she had a rough time in the recovery room. My brother Ryan was very excited to become a big brother on this day. I was the second born child in my family and the second grandchild on both sides of the family.
  • Adirondacks 2002

    Adirondacks 2002
It was a gorgeous summer day and my family the three hundred and fifty mile trip north to see my grandparents (my mom's parents) and my day decided to stop in keene valley to take some scenery shots. at the time I was taking a nap, but before we hit the road my dad woke me up so he could take this picture of my brother and I. The expression on my face explains how I was feeling at that moment. I was really pissed off that I got woken up from my nap and I really didn't want my picture taken.
  • Moving Day

    Moving Day
This day I do not remember very well because I was only four years old. I had left to go to daycare that day from one house and ended up coming home to a different house. One thing that I will never forget about that day was coming home to the new house. When I walked into the kitchen of the new house my brother was sitting at the table doing his homework and seeing the pile of boxes that were up to the ceiling behind him. This was also the only time I have moved houses in my life so far.
  • First Trip to Maine

    First Trip to Maine
This trip was the first trip of many to Maine. This was a trip with my brother, my mom and dad, and my grandparents. I remember visiting many lighthouses while we were there and constantly having to stop so my dad could take pictures. My brother and I loved to jump around on the rocks by the lighthouses, and him being the protective brother that he was, he always making sure that I was being careful and I would say to him "I'm fine Ryan", attempting to get him to leave me alone.
  • First Day of School Garden Street

First Day of School Garden Street
I don't remember anything from the first day but I have been told that I wasn't nervous because I had been going to daycare and preschool. Back then, kindergarten was only half a day of school. So I started off the day at daycare and then get on the bus at daycare (my bus stop was at daycare) in the afternoon shortly after lunch. For the first day, mom and dad took me to daycare late so they could see me get on the bus, they were also waiting at daycare to pick me up after school was over.
  • First Day of C.V.Starr

    First Day of C.V.Starr
This was an exciting day all around, starting a new school and no more daycare. Dad would drop me off at the bus stop (at home) in the morning before he went off to work. In the afternoon when I got home I was greeted by my big brother who at the time was a junior in high school. I was starting to feel like a big kid, changing classes in school and getting my own set of keys for the house. I really liked my new teachers and my new school.
  • Brother Goes off to college

    Brother Goes off to college
The summer of 2011 was a very difficult time for me. There were two major events that were happening in my life. The first one was my brother leaving to go to college and I was starting middle school a couple weeks later. I was already so nervous for middle school, and the thought of not having my brother there to help me through it made it a lot worse. Throughout the summer my brother constantly gave me reassuring words to help calm my nerves and it actual helped.
  • Grandfather Passed Away

    Grandfather Passed Away
The days leading up to this event were quite difficult especially for my mom. As soon as my mom got the call that he was on his deathbed she told me and we left to go to the car rental place. I decided not to go with her upstate for two reasons. One I would have missed days of school and I didn't want to have to make up the work and two, it would have been too emotional for me to handle. So my mom traveled up that night. The next day I got a phone call and it was the last time I spoke to him.
  • Started High School

    Started High School
The first day of high school, I was nowhere near as nervous as I was the first day of middle school. I was confident and ready to start a new chapter in my life. I was also aware of where my classes were because a few days before school started, I went into school and walked to each one of my classes as if I was following my schedule which made the first day much easier for me. I was looking forward to more freedom and being able to carry my backpack which wasn't allowed in middle school.
  • Brother Moved out

    Brother Moved out
The day that my brother moved out was a big day in my family and for my brother. This day was the day that my brother and his future wife finally moved into their new apartment that has been getting renovated since the day they got handed the keys. This process was long but interesting how much an apartment can change in just little over a month. This day had me feeling a mix of emotions because I had just lost my roommate, my brother and my best friend.
