English 102 McDonalds Archival VME
The question I decided to research had to do with the building blocks Maurice and Richard McDonald established in the fast food industry. By experimenting with a new type of service system, named the “Speedee Service System”, the McDonald brothers were able to create the fastest delivery service in the industry. The system was inspired by Henry Ford’s assembly line, and had different stations that workers were able to specialize in to cut the time required to make the separate parts of a meal.
