    National Negro Convention
Was in Philadelpia, Forty freed African-Americans goin together. They are trying to protect the rights of all freed African-Americans. It was a Ten-Day convention and it was held by the ASFPC, they were enceraged to move all African-Americans to Canada.

    Ruling of School Integration
the Supreme Court ruling of school integration, African-Americans wanted their fourteenth amendment civil rights be protected. MLKJ started a peaceful equality movement. Marches, Sit-ins, Speeches and other harmless things.

  • Sit-in

the sit ins where African-American poeple who sat at counters waiting till the got severed the same as whites did. Huge groups of white men would gather around them and start hitting, screaming, and spitting on them. This was a very non-violent on the African-Americans part to gian rights.
This helped the abolishonist because it shows how white men treat not only African-American men but woman as well. this showed the public how people where towards them.
  • Freedom Riders

    Freedom Riders
13 African-American and white civil rights activists take a series of bus trips through the American South to protest segregation on interstate bus terminals.
this was a good way for abolishonist to show people that even if there was a law aginst something the southern whites wouldnt fallow it. So they would have to make it a law for everyone not just some people.
  • Birmingham Campaign

    Birmingham Campaign
This was a campaign that would show just how violent whites would be. THere was a large gropu of African-Americans who where protesting non-violently, and Bull Connor the public saftey commissioner ordered police to use clubs, high pressure fire hoses, and police dogs on demonstrators.
this was good for the abolishonis because they had it set up an had news chanels around to show the Americans what people where like. this is when JFK insisted on the Civil rights bill
  • March on Washington

200,000 Demonstrators of all races where lead by MLKJ's I have a dream speech. it was a march to champaign for voting rights. There where 2,000 African-Americans that will be arrested even children.
