Mercedes Massacre
Two ambulance men get a call that a mass casualty incident has occured. They then go to the scene. Before arriving, a gray mercedes almost collide with them because it was driven in the wrong lane. Arrived at the scene, people are running through the fog. One of the two ambulance men ask to a man what happened. That same man tells them that a mercedes drove through the crowd and ran over people. -
Death metal
Brady tries to blow up a concert, where teenagers would have died by thousands and their fat mommies too of course. But before he achieves it, he gets beaten up badly. He thinks Hodges did it, but we learn it's Holly Gibney who gorked him. -
First victim
His real first victim, was Sadie Mcdonnald, we learn she's the first he ever took control of. But he could only control her when she had seizures, so he would tell her telepathically to go to the window and to look at the sun, he found out that her father molested her when she was young and that he abused of her. After getting bailed out of jail, he commit suicide. He slowly put to her mind that it was her fault that her own father was dead and she commit suicide too, like father like daughter. -
Zappit idea
When library Al brings the Zappit to Brady to see if the Zappit is able of calming down people as it is able to calm him down, but before even seeing it, he found himself on the other side of the hospital without remembering anything after he went into Brady's room. That shows that Brady took control of library Al to get the zappits. I think that when he saw how easily it was to capture Al's mind when he was looking at the demo, he got the idea that with the Zappits he could always do that. -
Zappit tweaks
Brady being kind of a dumb genius if you know what I mean, tweaked the Zappit so it could send a sort of blue flash that kind of hypnotized people. Now he just needs a genius like Freddi his old friend to help him out. -
Freddi's error
Freddi was Brady's ex co-worker, they worked together at an electronic shop. he passed her a little work to do, tweak those Zappits to make them better and to hypnotize people easier. To catch her, Brady pays her 50$ per visit, which he uses Al for. He then puts her in charge of the fake website to lure people to buy the Zappits and the fake website to see how many Zappits have been activated. -
Babineau
Dr.Babineau was the one who was taking of Brady when he arrived at the hospital after the concert. Brady took control of him by threatening him in the body of library Al. He said he was going to end his career if he didn't look at the Zappit. He made him believe that Al knew about the illigal drugs he gave to Brady that gave him his abilities. Babineau will be useful to him, with scapelli for example ot, for his money, he is the one who paid the equipments for Freddi to tweak the Zappits. -
First suicide/murder
Hodges gets a call while he awaits his medical appointment. Pete Huntley his old partner calls Hodges to tell him about the first suicide/murder. Pete asks Bill Hodges to come for a consultation because one of the victims is Martine Stover (one of the people badly injured in the mercedes massacre). Martine's mother supposedly killed her daughter and then killed herself. -
A strange coincidence
Holly, Hodges' partner finds a zappit in Martine's mother's chair. She takes it because of the Z engraved on the counter of their bathroom and the gray power cord that doesn't seem to fit in any of their thing, like an electronic tablet or an e-reader. She also took it because as she says ''Tell me what a Zappit was doing in a house where one of the women was almost eighty and the other one couldn't turn on a light switch.'' What they don't know yet, is thet the Zappits are part of Brady's plan. -
Brady's return
Nurse Scapelli twists Brady's nipples because he gave her the finger. she then threatens him of twisting his balls. Dr. Babineau then knocks at her door that night. He tells her that her position at the hospital is on very thin ice. He hands her a Zappit and tells her that if she can find a 9 digit number, she'll keep her job. When she tries, Brady suddenly appears in her room. He takes control of her and makes her say awful things about herself. He then tells her to go the kitchen and she does. -
Bad news
After skipping his lat meidcal appointment, Hodges gets a memo to attent to this one crucially. When he gets to the doctor's office, the doctor tells him he has pancreatic cancer that spread to his liver. Therefore the best Hodges can look at is a few months or a year if he is lucky. The doctor also tells him that rare are those who survived this type of cancer. -
Dead nurse
Nurse Scapelli is found in her appartment. It seems to be a suicide, but as we saw, it clearly was Brady who told her to do it when she was under his control. She cut her wrists and bled out in the kitchen. Hodges starts to have an intuition that maybe it woul be Brady behind those suicides; the suicide prince. -
When intuitions become reality
Barbara was one too much, Hodges doesn't think it could be Brady anymore, he knows it, and for sure. He doesn't even have to say anything to his partner Holly that she tells him that she's thinking the same thing. -
Brady's revenge
We learn that Brady wants to kill everyone that should have died to that concert in 2010 and in the mercedes massacre. We also learn that the last person he saw before getting beaten up was Barbara Robinson, the sister of Jerome Robinson, who is Hodges' friend. He tries to kill her the same way he did with the others, the zappit. He makes them think that they worth nothing and that nobody cares about them and they commit suicide, what Brady didn't plan, was that Barbara would survive. -
Brady's error
Since everyone that died until now had a Zappit, he investigated at Dinah's who also went to the concert. He found a Zappit. What Brady did, is create a fake website to give Zappits to everyone that was to the concert to apologize for the annulment. The catch is that with the Zappit came a letter saying that in the demo of a game, pink fishes can be found, if you click on them, you get a digit. If you get a certain number, you get a price, that's how Hodges knows why all the kids have Zappits. -
Hodges hints
Pete Huntley calls Hodges to tell him that Martine Stover's mother had bought a computer for her daughter to take online classes, which indicates that she wouldn't have killed her daughter, and wouldn't have killed herself. -
''Brady's death''
Hodges get a call from Pete Huntley that Brady's dead. He committed suicide. Later that same day, he talks to a nurse that tells him that he supposedly overdosed on meds. But how can a gorked who can't walk hide pills and eat them? that's what Hodges asks. The nurse tells him she thinks something else happened, but she doesn't know what. Later that day he talks to Holly and Jerome and they all think it's weird that Brady would kill himself before seeing how many people he killed. -
Freddi's redemption
When she sees in what mess she got herself into, she goes on the computer to be sure the website is still closed, to discover it has been opened. the count of Zappits is at 172, but she thinks that in the evening all the people that had the Zappits will have activated them, thus meaning they will have a command to off themselves. She tries to shutdown the website, but Brady knew she would do something like this so it doesn't work. Freddi decides to flee to survive. But she can't. -
An old friend
Hodges after Brady's death really wanted to get his hands on the visitors list, the nurse tells him there's none. But then he remembers that another nurse told him he only had one real visitor, a freaky girl. That freaky girl was Freddi, Brady's old co-worker. Holly gets her adress and they go see her. -
Hodges got her
Hodges and Holly find Freddi, Holly tries to convince Hodges that it could still be Brady, but Hodges says that it can't be. Freddi tells them that Babineau shot her but that he is really Brady. Jerome take hi swiss knife and destroy the repeater (the thing that search for Zappits and then tweak them).Holly convinces that Brady is in Dr.Babineau, by telling him that Al and Babineau are not good with computers, when Freddi who is can't even hack the site. -
Becky
Hodges call Becky the nurse to ask her if Dr.Babineau has got any summerhouse or something like that and she says that he co-owns with 4 other doctors a little hunting camp, she gives the location to Hodges. -
Website
Hodges wants to call pete to tell him to help Holly to shut down the website, but Pete isn't there, so he asks Izzy and she finally says yes. They disconnect the website and put an anti suicide hotline phone number under the message that says that the website is closed. -
Brady's real death
They arrive at the hunting camp, Brady knocks out Holly with his scar and force Hodges to grab her and to transport her in the cabin. In the cabin, he almost suceed getting control of Hodges, but his cellphone saves him from it, he threw the Zappit in the fire and attacked him. Holly wakes up in the fight and shoots him twice, but Brady flees. They try to get him outside. Brady with his scar shoots Full auto on the little house. -
Brady's real death (2)
Hodges and Holly see the house and hide, but at that moment, Jerome arrives and saves the day. He rolls over Brady with the truck. They now give the choice to Brady to commit suicide or to get killed, so they give him the gun, but he is too hurt to put it on his temple, so Holly helps him and he shoots himself. -
Hodges' condition
Hodges is now pursueing treatment at Kiner hospital. His first test results came back looking good. There's a little party at the hospital for his 70th birthday. -
Hodges' death
Hodges is 70 years old when he dies. Holly goes to hid tomb stone to put flowers.
